Function Characteristics

  • Module Compatibility: It supports all RX7i CPU and I/O configurations, Series 90 – 70 I/O, and VME modules. The backplane connectors are compatible with both single – width and double – width modules.
  • Slot Sensing: It provides slot sensing for I/O modules, and there is no need for jumpers or DIP switches for addressing modules. I/O module point referencing is accomplished via CIMPLICITY Machine Edition Logic Developer – PLC software.
  • Automatic Daisy – Chaining: Interrupt acknowledge signals and bus grant signals are automatically connected together in a daisy – chain configuration.
  • Shield Grounding: For RX7i modules, the metal faceplates of each module should be firmly attached to the encasement. For Series 90 – 70 modules, a built – in ground clip will make contact with the encasement when installed.
