Function Features

• Direct Ethernet Connection: Allows direct attachment of the PLC to an IEEE 802.3 CSMA/CD LAN through a standard 15 – pin AUI port connection. It supports various Ethernet media such as 10Base5, 10Base2, 10BaseT, 10BaseF, and 10Broad36 with user – supplied 802.3 – compatible transceivers.
• Easy Software Management: Software is easily loaded or upgraded via RAM load. Additionally, software is saved through power outages for at least six months due to the on – board battery backup.
• Protocol Flexibility: The communications protocols above the Ethernet data link layer are implemented in software, allowing the user to choose between two alternative communication protocols by downloading the applicable communications software.
• Diagnostic Function: The firmware includes a self – test diagnostic, which helps in detecting and troubleshooting issues with the module and the Ethernet connection.
