Functional Features
- Asynchronous I/O Scanning: It asynchronously scans I/O blocks and automatically transfers the I/O data to the CPU once after every iterated backplane scan.
- Communication Support: Supports global communication, direct PLC CPU communication service requests, and peer – to – peer data transfers on the IC666 bus. It can also send data messages (datagrams) from device to device or broadcast them to all connected devices on the bus via the ladder logic command.
- Configuration: Can be configured with the MS – DOS – based configuration software configurator function, providing an intuitive programming environment for operators to specify and set parameters.
- Diagnostic Function: The IC66* (IC660 or IC661) input/output diagnostic function is supported, and faults reported by the bus controller are managed by the PLC alarm processor function, which time – stamps and queues faults in a table.
- Redundancy Support: Supports redundant modules, cables, and CPUs, enhancing the reliability of the system.
