Functional Features

• High – speed Counting: It can directly process pulse signals up to 1MHz (in enhanced mode), which is suitable for applications where the PLC’s built – in counting ability is insufficient.
• Versatile Configuration: It can count up, down, or both, and can calculate the difference between two variables. It can be configured as 1 complex counter, 2 identical complex counters, or 4 identical independent simple counters.
• Direct Processing: It allows detection, counting, and response to inputs without the need for CPU communication, improving the real – time performance of the system.
• Windowing Feature: Allows users to define a range of counter accumulator values for valid input recognition.
• Two Modes of Operation: It has classic and enhanced modes. The enhanced mode offers support for up to 1MHz input frequency, 32 – bit counters, configurable outputs, rollover detection flag, and support for firmware updates over the backplane from the RX3i CPU.
