Functional Features
- Configurable I/O: Each of the 16 discrete circuits can be configured as an input, tri – state input, or output, offering versatile connectivity options.
- Advanced Diagnostic Capabilities: It can detect various faults such as short circuits, over – temperature, failed switches, open wires, overloads, or no – load conditions, and report them to the handheld monitor and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Output Pulse Test Function: It has an output pulse test function, which can be used to test the output circuit.
- Input Filter Time: The input filter time is selectable from 10 ms to 100 ms.
- Output Default Values: It supports output power – on default values, and the output can be configured to hold the last state or default when there is a problem.
- Communication Capability: It supports the Genius protocol, and data exchange is carried out through the Genius I/O bus terminal. It can communicate between GE’s PLC/PAC, bus controllers, PC interface modules, HMI and other modules and third – party devices. It can be installed remotely, and the optimal distance from partner devices is 7500 feet. It also allows daisy – chain connection of other I/O modules to form a Genius I/O network.
